Setting up retargeting ads based on the time users spend on your site can drive higher quality traffic, helping you optimise your budgets through better retargeting.
1. Create your Facebook pixel.
2. Create Custom Conversion events based on time spent on your website, with 30-second multiples (30, 60, 90, 120, 150, 180).
3. Build a conversion campaign, and use these time-based events as the optimisation goal.
4. Drive higher quality visits to your website.
These custom events allow you to optimise your campaign for the time spent on site.
While e-commerce companies might prefer to set up retargeting events based on specific intent triggers (e.g. Add To Cart), these time-based events are especially useful for businesses that do not have such a clear pre-purchase events.
Test these retargeting campaigns for high-intent readers on your blogs or product description pages.

What is it? Core Web Vitals is a new ranking factor announced by Google, applicable to all websites. It is a new page ranking factor that takes into account your website’s user experience signals. This is part of Google’s push to have websites be more accessible to users.
Why is it important? This update will affect how your pages rank on Google's search engine on all devices (mobile and desktop). User experience is more important than ever. If Google thinks your users are not having a good time on your site, your ranking will be negatively affected.
What does it take into account? It consists of these 3 factors:
— Larger Contentful Paint (LCP): How long it takes for your pages’ main content to load. Ideal LCP is < 2.5s.
— First Input Delay (FID): How long it takes for your page to become interactive. Ideal FID is <100ms.
— Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS): How much your page layout or visual content shifts unexpectedly. Ideal CLS is <0.1.
Note that your website also needs to have HTTPS and is mobile optimised.
When will it be live? According to Google, sometime in 2021.
